Australind Senior High School (SHS) is located north of Bunbury with easy access to the wider Southwest region.

The Role
Australind SHS is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and proactive Student Support Officer to join our Student Services team.
You will work as part of the Student Services Team to provide pastoral care support to students (both individually and in groups) in a range of settings, encouraging student attendance and achievement through fostering an environment that nurtures emotional, physical, academic, and mental health & wellbeing of all students.
Student wellbeing is our top priority.
You will also be responsible for developing intervention strategies, including preventative programs, to support students effectively.
Developing links between students, families, and the school is essential, and knowledge of the youth sector and related agencies is desirable.
Experience as a youth worker or Student Support Officer is advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
High-level record-keeping skills, including precise note-taking on Compass, are highly desirable.
Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential for building positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider community.
A tertiary qualification in Social or Behavioral Sciences will be highly regarded.
