Position Overview
The Draftsperson will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. This role supports our engineering and production teams and requires strong technical drafting experience within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and assembly documentation using SolidWorks
* Prepare BOMs, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation
* Work with engineers and workshop teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
* Assist in design improvements, prototype development, and product updates
* Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and document accuracy
* Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and industry standards
Skills & Experience
Required:
* Proficiency in SolidWorks
* Experience drafting for manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, or industrial equipment
* Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and tolerances
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable:
* Experience with sheet metal, machining, or heavy‑fabrication components
* Knowledge of Australian design and engineering standards
* Previous experience in an industrial or mechanical manufacturing environment

Pay: $61,937.93 – $111,972.80 per year
