Warragul Physiotherapy is looking for an experienced and responsible Receptionist / Medical Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established clinic, where you'll play a key role in shaping its success.
We're seeking someone with at least 5 years' medical reception/administration experience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and unsupervised. You'll be the first point of contact for our patients, so a professional phone manner, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage patient appointments, enquiries, and reception duties
* Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for patients (in person and by telephone)
* Process Medicare, DVA, TAC, WorkCover and private health insurance claims
* Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality at all times
* Manage payments, invoicing and daily banking
* Liaise with patients, referrers and healthcare providers with professionalism and empathy
* Provide administrative support to physiotherapists and practice management
* Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure the clinic runs efficiently
Strict Selection Criteria
Applicants must meet the following to be considered:
1. Minimum 5 years' experience as a medical receptionist or medical administrator in a healthcare setting
2. Full Australian working rights
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised
4. Strong commitment to patient care and clinic responsibilities
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone manner
6. Proven ability to display empathy, patience and understanding when dealing with patients and families
7. Demonstrated responsibility, accountability and reliability in previous roles
8. Proficiency with practice management software, billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite
9. Sound knowledge of confidentiality and privacy regulations within healthcare
10. Strong problem-solving skills and initiative in a fast-paced environment
11. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support colleagues when required
12. Consistent professional presentation and punctuality
Desirable
* Strong knowledge of the Warragul community and local healthcare providers
* Previous experience in physiotherapy, allied health, or a similar clinical environment
* Familiarity with practice management programs such as Cliniko or similar
