Sedgman is a market leader in the design, construction, and operation of mineral processing plants for the global resources sector.
We are recruiting a skilled Mechanical Designer with hands-on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering, working across the Mineral Processing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Convert an engineering concept into a 3D design.
Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications and intent.
Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards and client requirements.
Create 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts.
About You
3–7 years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries.
Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards.
Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D or MicroStation 2D.
Proficiency in AutoDesk 3D modelling programs such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault and Plant 3D.
Ability to work autonomously.
Previous skills or interests to expand into SMP design.
Willingness adapt to a changing role.
Point-cloud scanning skill is a perk but not required.
Proven skills in Advanced Steel.
AutoCAD Plant 3D Spec Development desirable but not essential.
AutoCAD Plant 3D Smart PID integration desirable but not essential.
