About the role
MAXAM is seeking to employ a Field Operator / Blast Labourer to join our well-established crew, based in Goulburn, NSW.
The role of Field Operator / Blast Labourer fundamentally contributes to the success of the blast crew on site. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of day to day blasting services, loading and stemming of drill holes. The role can be physically demanding, working in various extreme weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the safe and efficient delivery of day-to-day blasting services on a
multitude of different sites across NSW and occasionally interstate.
* Loading and stemming of drill holes - On job training provided.
* Handling and use of explosives in accordance with procedures and legislation
* Maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and
housekeeping
* Working collaboratively as part of a blast crew
* Adhering to all company, site, and regulatory requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Willingness to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
* A clear criminal record and drivers license
Ideally you will hold current licenses in the following:
* HR drivers license
* Explosives Security Clearance -Ability to obtain
Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening) and be able to obtain and maintain relevant clearances such as a National Police Clearance.
