Overview
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven support specialist to engage with local communities and help drive referrals for our career and parenting services.
This role involves building strong relationships with community organizations, schools, social services, and other stakeholders to create opportunities for individuals to access support services.
This role is a full-time position with office hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will act as the local brand ambassador and the face and voice of the service while supporting a caseload of parents to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Establish and maintain connections with local community groups, service providers, and key stakeholders to promote the Parent Pathways Programs
2. Act as liaison between participants and coordinators to ensure a seamless referral process
3. Develop and deliver outreach initiatives, including community events, information sessions, and workshops to raise awareness of available services
4. Identify and engage with individuals in need of career transition or parenting support to drive program referrals
5. Track and report on referral outcomes, program participation, and feedback to improve services
6. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that participants receive the necessary support and guidance throughout their involvement in the programs
7. Manage a caseload of up to 50 parents to help them achieve their goals and overcome their barriers
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people – you will be the first face people see and the voice they remember
* Knowledge or experience in career development, employment services, or family support programs highly regarded
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously
* Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for community empowerment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle preferred
* WWCC, ability to pass a police check
* Certificate III or willingness to enroll in Community Services or Employment Services
