Ocean Road Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a Deputy Principal - Behaviour and Engagement commencing in 2024. The successful applicant will also have leadership responsibilities for staff and students from Years 2 - 4.
In collaboration with the Principal, the executive team provide educational leadership across the school community. This is achieved in a culture where effective relationships built on mutual respect, trust, interdependence, and psychological safety can flourish.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:

25. obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
26. meet the Department of Education requirements;
27. complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
28. complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
29. complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
30. complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
Applicants currently employed by the Western Australian Department of Education may wish to demonstrate they have undertaken leadership programs conducted by the Institute for Professional Learning, including the Public School Leadership Program.
