Job Title: Community Support Specialist

The position is part of the Allied Health team at Katherine District Hospital, an accredited medical facility that caters for the needs of Katherine and surrounding areas.
Your key responsibilities will include providing social work services, conducting strength-based assessments, and advocating for patients. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to achieve work unit goals and manage a caseload within a dynamic and evolving work environment.
Requirements:
* Australian tertiary qualification giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
* Post-graduate experience in providing high-level clinical social work services
* Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, family, and community structures
* Ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner
* Current NT drivers' licence or willingness to obtain and travel by car, 4WD, or light aircraft to remote communities
