Tender Loving Care is passionate about connecting people with disabilities to workers that can help them achieve their goals. Our Community Support Workers support our participants with social, community & recreational participation, in‑home support & daily living activities, specialised transport & domestic support.
This is the role for you if you have:
- An interest in supporting people with disabilities explore their capabilities and reach their potential.
- The desire to share your interests and passions with others.
- The ability to manage your own time and work autonomously.
- A love for a constantly changing work setting.
- NDIS experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Qualifications in Disability andor Mental Health highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Recognise the person before the disability.
- Promote awareness and inclusion of people with disability.
- Work alongside individuals to achieve personal and NDIS goals.
- Plan, implement and review individual programs.
- Provide physical assistance and emotional support.
- Assist with daily tasks, personal care and hygiene.
- Support with medication administration and positive behaviour management.
- Perform household tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
- Accompany individuals to appointments and community activities.
- Encourage social participation, self‑confidence and relationship‑building.
- Maintain accurate records and report incidents or changes.
Locations & Requirements
Ipswich and Northern Brisbane Suburbs
- An interest in supporting people with disabilities explore their capabilities and reach their potential.
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience (preferred); however, we are open to candidates with less experience for certain roles.
- Experience working with complex behaviours.
- Ability to provide personal care.
- Residing in Brisbane, Northside, or Ipswich areas (preferred).
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Flexibility to work short shifts, long shifts, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card.
- Current Working With Children Check/Blue Card.
- CurrentFirst Aid and CPR Certificates.
- A validDriver’s Licence, with access to avehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
Caloundra Region
- Passion for supporting people with disabilities to reach their full potential.
- At least 12 months’ experience in a support role (preferred, but not essential).
- Experience with complex behaviours and mobility transfers.
- Confident using wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
- Able to provide personal care when required.
- Complex Mental Health training (advantageous).
- Based in or near the Caloundra region (preferred).
- Willing to travel as needed and available 4–5 days per week.
- Holds current:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check / Yellow Card.
- Working With Children Check / Blue Card.
- First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Driver’s Licence, with own vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
