Dairy Australia is the national R&D and services body for the dairy industry, supporting dairy farmers and the industry. The skills‐based board comprises eight Non‐Executive Directors.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated leadership in an agribusiness entity of commercial scale and complexity in the dairy or another sector, with a strong focus on innovation and adoption.
* Experience in board and governance roles.
Core Responsibilities and Required Skills
* Strategy related to productivity drivers, adoption of research, development and new technologies.
* Sustainability landscape, regulatory environment, oversight and implementation of programs.
* Commercial drivers of business innovation and culture.
* Change management, market and business development.
* Interface between the private sector and government.
Dairy Supply Chain & Product Promotion
* Leading and managing dairy processing, manufacturing and/or FMCG operations at a significant scale.
* Linking manufacturing operations to the whole supply chain.
* Understanding commercial, financial and profitability drivers across the whole supply chain, including trade and global markets, international/export and domestic market access.
* Product promotion and marketing, including commercial sales and customer experience.
* Experience in board and governance roles.
Industry Understanding (Highly Regarded)
* Milk pricing & supply.
* Dairy industry structure and networks.
* Current and emerging dairy products, processing trends and issues.
