We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality and Safety Manager to lead our Quality & Safety team and drive excellence across both clinical and non-clinical services. This pivotal role will provide guidance, support and leadership in quality assurance, auditing, risk management, and accreditation processes, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
As the Quality and Safety Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team, coordinate organisation-wide initiatives, and play a key role in preparing for accreditation against the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. Reporting to the Deputy Director Clinical Governance and contributing to Sub Board Quality and Safety meetings, you will provide expert advice, champion continuous improvement, and strengthen consumer engagement in line with person-centred care principles.

Our preferred candidate will have:
* Accountability and initiative.
* Experience as a health professional and/or five years senior management experience in related field, including management of a multidisciplinary team.
* Recent demonstrated experience in National Standards Accreditation.
* Recent demonstrated experience in the successful management of risks, through application of the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework (or equivalent), knowledge of Riskman and an oversight of the organisational risk register, risk maturity self-assessment and organisational attestation.
* Recent demonstrated experience in leading accreditation activities across an organisation.
* Demonstrated experience in managing incident management systems and processes.
* Demonstrated understanding of consumer participation and person-centred care.
* Post graduate qualifications in Quality or working towards.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
* Previous experience in leading Australian Council on HealthCare and Aged care Standards Accreditation processes and other related standards.
* Sound knowledge of Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare National Standards and accreditation processes.
* Previous experience of clinical governance.
* Sound knowledge of legislative compliance in the healthcare industry.
IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
