Prosecution Associate
The role involves conducting infringement reviews, compiling legal documents, preparing court materials and researching case law to support prosecution decisions.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting infringement reviews and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
* Supporting the compilation and organisation of legal documents for briefs and infringement batches.
* Assisting with the preparation, review, filing and serving of court documents.
* Maintaining databases and spreadsheets for prosecution matters, including court dates, status and outcomes.
* Researching and analysing case law, legislation, regulations and articles to support prosecution decisions.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Able to research, understand and interpret Acts and relevant legislation.
* Skill in drafting legal documentation, including submissions, correspondence and reports.
* Knowledge of court procedures and practices, particularly in prosecuting cases.
* Initiative in managing work outcomes, opportunities and challenges.
* Specialised analytical and problem-solving skills to improve customer experience and utilise council resources efficiently.
