The Role
The Department of Defence is seeking a highly capable senior executive to lead the Maintenance Requirements Branch within the Navy Engineering Division.
Navy Engineering is responsible for ensuring the seaworthiness, technical integrity and long‐term sustainment of Australia's maritime capability. Our workforce is highly skilled, professional and recognised as leaders in their field. This role provides strategic leadership at the centre of Navy's maritime maintenance, technical governance and assurance system.
The Maintenance Requirements Branch delivers a unified, enterprise‐wide approach to maritime maintenance requirements, knowledge, policy, technical governance and assurance. The Branch plays a critical role in enabling reliable maritime capability outcomes through the correct application of maintenance systems and technical policy across the capability life cycle.
This position also has responsibility for delivering technical mastery to Navy's engineering and technical workforce, including stewardship of Navy's Intermediate Level Maintenance capability.
The role contributes directly to Defence strategic outcomes by strengthening Navy's governance system, overseeing critical maintenance capability, and ensuring alignment with major reform initiatives including the Defence Delivery Agency and the Defence Seaworthiness Program.
