Offer description

Norton Rose Fulbright is a global law firm. We provide the world's pre-eminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. We have more than 4000 lawyers operating from 58 offices worldwide in Europe, Asia Pacific, Canada, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, the Americas and Central Asia.

Our Perth corporate, M&A and securities practice advises leading corporations and financial institutions, both in Australia and globally, on complex, high-value public takeovers, private M&A, joint ventures, capital markets transactions, governance and strategic corporate advisory work.

We take a strategic, client-first approach to innovation. Our lawyers are encouraged to use carefully governed AI and workflow-automation tools to work more efficiently, think more strategically and deliver better client outcomes - without compromising quality, confidentiality or privilege. All tools are rigorously vetted through our Risk & Innovation Committee and ISO-certified information-security framework.

What will you be doing?

This is a hands-on Senior Associate role for someone who wants stretch, exposure and momentum. You'll work closely with Adam Edelman and David Jewkes on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions for major local and international clients, particularly across the resources and energy sectors, in a team that values initiative and collaboration (and even a bit of fun thrown in!).

As an integral member of the team you will work on high-end corporate and M&A matters, including:

* complex, cross-border and domestic acquisitions, restructures and divestments;
* private equity buyouts and exits;
* equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs and secondary raisings;
* corporate governance and strategic advisory work; and
* complex joint ventures and shareholder arrangements.
Who are you?

You're an experienced corporate lawyer ready to operate at a senior level on complex, high-value transactions. You bring:

* 4+ years PQE in corporate and commercial law in a top-tier or major firm
* A strong commercial instinct and the confidence to advise on complex, high end matters
* Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills, with a sharp eye for risk and detail
* The ability to build trusted client relationships and contribute strategically to transactions
* Experience advising public companies and working with ASX Listing Rules (desirable, but not essential)

You're driven, polished and collaborative, with the ambition to continue building a standout career within a leading global firm.

This is a role for a lawyer who wants front-line exposure and genuine responsibility while working on market-leading matters for major clients in the resources and energy sectors and playing an active role in guiding and mentoring junior lawyers.

In return, you will be rewarded with genuine career prospects and an excellent team environment renowned for its collaborative culture, passion for client service and professional development opportunities.

Norton Rose Fulbright values diversity and strives to create an inclusive environment. We are proud that Norton Rose Fulbright in Australia has been recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) as well as a gold tier employer for LGBTI Inclusion through the Australian Workplace Equality Index. In 2025 we were re-accredited as a Family Inclusive Workplace and always encourage people to discuss flexible and hybrid work options with us.

We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates to apply.
