We are currently looking for a talented Lawyer or Associate to join our growing Canberra Employment and Labour team. Working closely with our market leading Partner Bede Gahan this an exciting opportunity to make your mark in an expanding practice.

The key responsibilities and requirements for the roles are as follows:

Responsibilities

- Represent employers in unfair dismissal, discrimination and general protection claims
- Advise on enterprise bargaining strategy and implementation
- Represent employers in industrial disputes
- Advise on disciplinary and performance issues
- Advise on workplace bullying and harassment, including investigations
- Advise on organisational restructures, commercial transactions and transfer of business issues
- Conduct business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

- A minimum of 1 years PQE + within an employment law or litigation practice
- Experience working across contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Confidence to deal directly with clients and work collaboratively across the NRFA network
- Excellent written, drafting and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to supervise junior lawyers and lead teams on matters
