Waranga Drive Medical Centre is a modern, privately billing general practice providing GP and specialist services in Shepparton.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist or Practice Managerto join our growing team. This role can be tailored to suit either a strong senior receptionist ready to step into leadership or an experienced practice manager seeking a stable, supportive environment.

About the Role
You will oversee the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficient administration, strong team performance, and an exceptional patient experience.
Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
* Leading front-desk and reception operations
* Managing patient flow, bookings, and billing processes
* Medicare, DVA, TAC and WorkCover billing
* Experience with banking, EFTPOS/cash handling, and accounts
* Supervising and supporting administrative staff
* Payroll coordination and HR administration
* Budgeting, reporting and financial oversight
* Accreditation and compliance management
* Managing provider number applications and training affiliations
* Overseeing WIPS/PIP submissions and grant applications
* Implementing and improving systems for operational efficiency
You will work closely with the Practice Principal to support business growth and maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, and motivated to lead.
Essential:
* Minimum 2–5 years' experience in medical reception
* Strong knowledge of Medicare billing and MBS
* Experience using Best Practice Premier (an advantage)
* Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Financial literacy and confidence managing reports
* High level of discretion and professionalism
Highly Regarded:
* Practice management experience
* Experience with payroll and bookkeeping
* Knowledge of accreditation processes
* Business or medical practice management qualification

Work Schedule
* Monday to Friday roster (occasional extended hours may apply)
* 8-hour shifts
* No routine weekend work
Compliance Requirements
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Working With Children Check (if required)
* Immunisation compliance as per healthcare standards
