Job Summary
The Senior Financial Accountant position involves overseeing monthly financial reporting, accounting, and reconciliations related to General Ledger, fixed assets, leases, accounts receivable, and other finance control department functions. This role requires the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial reports including variance analysis for Head Office reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports including variance analysis for Head Office reporting.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and GRASP.
* Complete monthly Balance Sheet, subledgers, and InterCompany reconciliations.
* Assist with annual statutory accounts preparation for submission to ASIC.
* Liaise with external auditors by providing requested information on a timely basis.
* Complete Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys as required.
* Daily review and posting of journal entries and approval of suppliers' payment runs.
* Prepare and submit weekly Cash forecast and AR reports to Head Office.
* Manage equipment leases and fixed assets accounting.
* Assist Group Reporting Manager and Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks as required.
* Assist Tax manager with Tax effect accounting, Income tax returns, FBT, and similar tax compliances.
Requirements
* CA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
* 5+ years' experience in a similar role with knowledge of consolidated company accounting and reporting in large organizations.
* Exposure to group management reporting is preferred.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required.
* Experience with major ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Essbase, and Pronto is preferred.
* High attention to detail is essential to maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity in all reports.
* Strong interpersonal skills are required.
* Able to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Organized, proactive, and able to take initiative.
