We have an interesting role for an experienced medical secretary to work for an Orthopaedic Surgeon just starting his private practice.
You will need flexibility with your time and flexibility from where you will work from
Because of this there is opportunity to work from home when the surgeon is in theatre
Initially the start up phase will be in Fitzroy 3 - 4 days pw. Thursday you will work from home. If adhoc theatre lists are scheduled then you can work from home.
From the beginning of January 2026 onwards until 2027 you will be working in Richmond in person Monday/Wednesday/Friday and from home Tuesdays & Thursdays. Again if adhoc theatre lists are scheduled then you can work from home.
From you will be working from the Fitzroy rooms near St.Vincents
Duties:
* Reception
* Answer the many phone calls
* Manage the diary
* Hospital & theatre bookings
* Billings
* IT literacy ( Gentu)
* Excellent PR skills with marketing
* Banking
Car parking will be negotiated
Salary negotiable.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants the chance to start up a surgical practice, help grow and manage the demands of all the ins and outs of private practice. So experience is essential with having the knowledge of private medical rooms, and assist a new young surgeon develop a successful practice.
