Job Summary:
The Cableway Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the cable car facility.
This position requires an individual with strong mechanical skills, experience in rigging and working at heights, and knowledge of O&M procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a High Risk Licence in Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Rigging, and a Working at Heights/Tower Rescue and/or cable car evacuation certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake routine maintenance tasks, including greasing tracks and haul ropes, vibration and grease analyses, rope slips/load tests, NDT, and corrosion control.
* Perform operational duties, including directing passengers during emergencies and conducting pre-operational checks.
* Assist in clamping track and haul ropes prior to incoming cyclones and ensure all maintenance activities are completed as required.
Requirements:
* Hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate
* Have intermediate working knowledge of the Cableway to enable fault analysis of all components
* Rigging qualified with experience holding a High Risk Licence in Basic, Intermediate or advanced Rigging
* Comfortable working at heights ideally hold a Working at Heights/Tower Rescue and/or cable car evacuation certificate
