Finance Manager
at Thomas Borthwick and Sons (Australia) Pty Ltd This senior position is a key advisory role within the business, where you will support the executive management team by providing critical financial insights, reporting, and advise to help make informed operational, business and financial decisions.
You will lead a team of Finance staff including a Senior Accounts Manager, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing and Stores.
Responsibilities
* Develop business plans, forecasts, financial performance metrics.
* Analyse manufacturing processes to ensure optimal financial outcomes.
* Review and negotiate key contracts to provide best outcomes.
* Complete month end closing procedures and daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
* Liaise with both external and internal auditors for quarterly, interim and annual audits
* Ensure compliance with tax and statutory reporting requirements.
* Review feasible capital expenditure and maintain fixed assets register.
* Manage, supervise, and develop Finance team.
* Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial accuracy and compliance (JSOX).
What skills are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Finance, Management, or a related field, with extensive experience in a production or manufacturing industry.
* A CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification (or working towards completing it).
* Broad administrative experience with meticulous attention to detail.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and database management.
* Strong ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated and well-organized with a results-driven mindset.
* Strong commercial acumen to drive data-informed decision-making.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to meet personal KPIs and professional goals.
