We have opportunities available for Training Area Range Operators in our Defence division. These are permanent full-time positions based at Robertson Barracks or Kangaroo Flats Training Area, Northern Territory.

About the role
You will ensure the readiness and functionality of Defence Training Areas.
Key responsibilities
* Coordinating contractor tasks for TAR (e.g. land care, cleaning, waste, estate upkeep).
* Planning, deploying, testing and recovering live fire targets with Defence Units.
* Managing TAR gates/flags per approved firing schedules.
* Building and repairing targets using Defence supplies.
* Conducting non-technical inspections and supporting contractor technical checks.
* Maintaining TAR readiness (e.g. weed control, facility upkeep).
* Operating DART, MTR, SMR & new target systems.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in planning, placing, testing and recovering range live fire target equipment.
* Ability to operate and maintain various target systems such as DART, MTR, and SMR.
* Experience in inventory control, stock management, and storage maintenance.
* Range Officer Accreditation or relevant safety training would be highly regarded.
* Previous experience in the ADF or Defence industry would be highly regarded.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
