New World Laboratories require a Materials Engineer for a full-time position at our base facility in Canning Vale.
The successful applicant will be required to:
* Conducting comprehensive testing on construction materials to ensure durability, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
* Pioneer material innovation for sustainable road construction by integrating biochar-enhanced asphalt (C-12 Black/Plus), evaluating durability, carbon footprint, and circularity impact.
* Managing on-site operations of pyrolysis plant projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
* Performing advanced characterization techniques to analyze biochar derived from various feedstocks.
* Build and commission laboratory infrastructure for material characterization, pyrolysis residue analysis, and emission testing to support data-driven R&D processes.
* Lead R&D initiatives at C-Twelve, focusing on biochar and pyrolysis-based technologies to achieve climate-positive outcomes and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
* Design and scale advanced pyrolysis systems to convert mixed waste streams into high-value biochar, optimizing energy efficiency and minimizing emissions.
* Develop methodologies for carbon credit eligibility, biochar stability, and carbon sequestration quantification using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).

Pay: $76,515.00 – $85,000.00 per year
