Alex Fraser Group has an opportunity for an experienced and committed Laboratory Technician - Material Testing to join our team based at our Epping Recycling Facility. This is a hands‐on role ensuring data and analysis results are in accordance with our company policies.
Responsibilities
* Conduct specialist testing of construction samples and recording/reporting test results.
* Maintain test equipment as per OHS/WHS standards and legislation.
* Provide high‐level data analysis and reporting on compliant and non‐compliant results.
* Ensure all plant equipment is maintained at a high standard and operated with Zero Harm philosophy.
Qualifications
* Have a strong knowledge and understanding of modern Lab Instrumentation.
* Hold extensive knowledge across construction material sampling testing methods and processes.
* Have experience with concrete/Asphalt operations and technology (highly regarded).
* Current Driver's License.
* Hold a professional work ethic with a customer service‐oriented attitude.
* Are results focused, self‐motivated and take pride in your work.
* Have experience with a civil or building industry (highly regarded).
* Possess a positive and high regard for safety policies and procedures.
* Have strong attention to detail and strong housekeeping standards.
What we offer
* Daily allowance of $32.27 per day.
* Overtime on offer pending the current business cycle.
* This is a Monday‐Friday role, generally 6am – 4pm, with rostered half‐day Saturdays.
