Avian Mitigation Researcher
Murdoch University is currently seeking skilled Postdoctoral Researchers to join its team in a groundbreaking green energy project. The successful candidates will contribute to research into the direct and indirect impact of renewable energy projects on key cockatoo species in Australia.
The positions involve conducting thorough desktop research, collaborating with internal and external experts, including industry partners, data collation and analysis, preparation of reports and peer-reviewed journal articles. Significant overlap between the roles exists, allowing applicants to indicate interest in either or both positions.
* Research Associate (ACLEA)
o Contribute to high-quality research, collaborate with the Research Team, deliver project milestones and key performance indicators.
o Conduct comprehensive literature reviews, collaborate with internal and external experts, including industry partners.
o Supervise students where appropriate.
o Maintain accurate records of workflows and data.
* Research Fellow (ACLEB)
o Contribute to research individually and as a member of a team, produce quality publications.
o Make applications for external competitive research funds individually and as a member of a team.
o Consult and provide advice to undergraduate, postgraduate and HDR students.
o Supervise honours, master's by coursework, and HDR students.
o Contribute to the Institute, the University, the profession and the discipline.
o Participate in the University's Academic Contribution Development (ACDR).
o Undertake such other duties as determined by the Senior Postdoctoral Fellow.

This Fixed Term (1 Year) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) position offers a remuneration package that includes a base salary range of AUD 78,000 - AUD 131,000, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
You'll have opportunities to make significant contributions to science supporting conservation decision making. Outputs from this project will also inform sustainability goals at Murdoch University.
