Overview
Program Facilitator role at Serco, Wooroloo, Western Australia.
The Program Facilitator will deliver therapeutic programs to small groups of 10-12 prisoners, focusing on addressing violence, addiction, and other offending behaviours.
In collaboration with a co-facilitator, the role ensures participants have the opportunity to engage in behaviour change and establish a risk management plan to increase community safety.
Responsibilities
Deliver therapeutic programs to small groups of 10-12 prisoners.
Collaborate with a co-facilitator to facilitate sessions and support behaviour change.
Engage participants in programme activities and assist in establishing risk management plans to enhance community safety.
Qualifications
A degree (or progression toward) in Psychology or Social Work.
Experience in delivering group programs and interventions, ideally within correctional, welfare, or institutional settings.
Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics and work with participants who may have complex mental health or behavioural issues.
Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Strong report writing and communication skills to document offender progress and behaviour.
Understanding of cognitive behavioural approaches to address and change offending behaviours.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and respond to diverse participant needs.
