Product Development Innovator
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Innovator to lead our team in developing new and improving existing food products.
The ideal candidate will have experience in R&D trials for new cold-pressed juices, functional mylks, and other wellness items, focusing on clean-label ingredients, flavour profile, and nutritional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop innovative product formulations that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development from concept to launch.
* Conduct rigorous testing and implement science-backed methods to safely extend the shelf-life of raw, natural juices while retaining maximum nutrient and enzyme activity.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian Food Standards Code requirements.
* Test and analyse raw ingredients and finished products for flavour, colour, texture, nutritional content, levels, and microbial properties.
* Optimise production processes, cold-chain logistics, and packaging materials to maintain product freshness and structural integrity during storage and delivery.
* Provide expert advice on food preservation, regulatory affairs, and new processing techniques relevant to the health food market.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., bachelor's degree) in a highly aligned field.
* Minimum one (1) year of relevant industry employment experience in food or beverage production, ideally with exposure to fresh, chilled, or preservative-free products.
* Demonstrated knowledge of microbial testing, chemical analysis, and quality assurance systems (e.g., HACCP principles).
* Enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for natural health foods and clean-label formulation.
* Strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills for clear technical reporting.
