Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role at Goulburn Brewery, located in Goulburn, NSW. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu planning, and ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities include managing staff, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Sous Chef will also contribute to creating new dishes and optimizing kitchen processes to enhance efficiency and the dining experience for customers.
Qualifications
* Culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating presentation
* Experience in kitchen operations, including team management and workflow coordination
* Knowledge of menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory control
* Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
* Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
* Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Formal culinary training or equivalent experience is preferred
* Passion for food and creativity in menu development
