This role commences as a 3-month contract, with continuation expected subject to operational requirements and individual performance.

Here's What You'll Be Doing:
GL reconciliations, end of month schedules, journals, and ongoing account monitoring.
Assisting with monthly management accounts and supporting year end financial reporting and audit requirements.
Weekly POS and function reconciliations, ensuring accurate alignment across venues and business units.
Data extraction, financial analysis, and insight generation to support operational decision making.
Inventory and beverage stock control, monitoring, and reporting.
Providing operational support with POS, Tyro, cash handling, and systems troubleshooting.
Supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing when required.
Assisting senior finance staff with more complex ad hoc tasks and project work.
Performing fixed asset reconciliations, wages reconciliations, and statutory journaling.
Cash, EFTPOS, and tote reconciliations to SwiftPOS, merchant reports, and banking summaries.
Reconciliation of bar, catering, and tote takings, including preparation of journals.
Online ticketing, restaurant, and hospitality reconciliations.
Completing all race day function close-outs and preparing race day P&L spreadsheets.
Cash and EFTPOS reconciliations.
Completing non-race day function close-outs.
Preparing non-race day P&L spreadsheets and journals.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
Proven experience in an accounting role with strong reconciliation capability.
High level accuracy, organisational capability, and attention to detail.
Confidence working with POS systems, operational takings, and hospitality-based financial environments.
Ability to analyse financial data, identify variances, and produce clear reporting.
A proactive, hands-on approach aligned with a fast-moving, flat organisational structure.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to support both finance and operational teams.
A mindset focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and accuracy.
The ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
