We are looking for a Theatre Team Lead to join our Theatres department. The Team Lead will be responsible for the management of staff and resources within the scrub team. They will work with the Theatre Manager to ensure the provision of high quality, evidence based patient centred care for patients and theatre users.
The role will require participation in the on-call rota and will involve weekend working.
Requirements
Qualifications
* RGN or ODP
* Recognised post registration course relevant to Theatres
* Degree or Diploma in Nursing / Healthcare
* Teaching and assessing qualification
* Evidence of CPD
* A recognised Surgical skills course
Experience
* 5 years post registration
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in Scrubs at senior level
* Proven experience of successful team management / change managementProven experience of successful team management / change management
Skills
* Able to undertake the role of first assistant
* I.T Literate
* Able to run the unit on a day-to-day basis
Knowledge
* Excellent understanding of surgical practice
* Good working knowledge of all disciplines of Theatres
* Good understanding of and ability to lead Risk Management in theatres
