Your new role
Key duties and responsibilities
Provide technical advice and direction as an application security SME
Assist in the design, development and compliance of applications and the AWS platform
Assist in the architecture and development of CI/CD pipelines
Work with cybersecurity teams and product owners to seek alignment between information security and business objectives.
Provide advice and support across OCIO programs, implementations and BAU
Investigate complex technical problems and engage stakeholders appropriately
Provide strategic advice to Director and Assistant Director of Platforms & Integration
Foster a positive culture within the Platforms & Integration team aligned with Agency values.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Work with the identify & access management team
Provide insight and integrate monitoring and compliance tools
What you'll need to succeed
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrated 5 years' experience as a Kubernetes Administrator, DevOps engineer with hands-on knowledge of AWS automations.
2. Demonstrated experience in implementing RBAC on AWS.
3. Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling using Terraform and CI/CD technologies to support end-to-end delivery of systems.
4. Understanding of Kubernetes-based applications.
5. Understanding of integration with third party identity providers in AWS.
6. Willingness to learn SAS DevOps on the job.
Desirable criteria
1. Background knowledge of SAS Viya would be beneficial. Enthusiastic about accessible design & development.
2. Enthusiastic about accessible design & development and maintaining technical documentation.
3. Experience developing REST APIs with one or more of the following: Go, / AngularJS / Typescript, Python and Agile practices.
4. Monitoring AWS components using services such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace and Splunk.
