What we are looking for: We're looking for a reliable and experienced Water Industry Plant Operator/Labourer to assist in maintaining and constructing water and wastewater systems.
The ideal candidate should be able to perform manual labour tasks, work safely in confined spaces, and have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
What your day will look like: Contribute to the undertaking of construction/ maintenance activities by operating a range of machinery and equipment e.g.
high pressure sewer cleaning machine, electric eels, CCTV push camera.
All maintenance and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure undertaken to quality standard Assist in the construction and installation of water and wastewater assets to quality standard Please click here to view a full position description.
What you'll need for success: Experience with high pressure cleaning equipment, ideally within the wastewater environment General Construction Induction Card (White Card) Current Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus immunisations (or willingness to undertake immunisations within one month of commencement) What's nice to have: Provide First Aid/CPR Work Safely at Heights Trim and Cut Felled Trees (Chainsaw Level 2) High risk work licence (Forklift operation) Traffic Implementation (Level 2) SWNELP Confined Spaces Certification Basic Computer Skills Benefits of Working with Council Committed to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge and talent.
