POSITION PROFILE
The Textiles Showroom Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of our sample fulfillment center in Sydney, NSW. The sample fulfillment center consists of Maharam, Knoll, and Edelman textiles. This role requires an enthusiastic, proactive individual, and an outstanding communicator with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility. This is mostly a support position with limited client interaction, and the principal responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Binder updates: make sure binders are up-to-date so they can be referenced by sales and clients. Pull discontinued tip cardsWhite-out colorways on cardsIntegration of newly introduced materials into showroom spaces and sample rooms. Add new tip cards to bindersFile all memo samples into the sample wall/drawersCreate and add new folders into storage cabinets for new introductionsDispose of all boxes/packaging to keep showroom and sample room tidyReturnsFile memos and binder tip cards returned to the showroom sample libraries by clients. Ship materials back to the distribution center as requiredFacilitate donations to local organizations/design schools for overflow and discontinued items Inventory/ReplenishmentAs required, place orders for new sample inventory from the distribution centerOrganize and file upon receipt
Sample fulfillmentPull samples for designers and ship/messenger as needed and when present in that showroomRespond to sample email requests and inquiries from Maharam co-workersPulling memo samples to fill back ordered sample requests
Showroom MaintenanceAssist with receipt and organization of office suppliesAssist with maintenance of Residential Display table in specific showrooms
Required Experience:
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate effectively both written and verballyAbility to interact effectively with internal teams and clientsDemonstrate problem-solving skillsSelf-starter, able to work in a team as well as independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and general computer knowledge.
Required Skills:
