Hinterland Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our in‑house engineering and design team. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality HVAC solutions across both Design & Construct (D&C) and fully designed projects, with involvement from initial concept through to final commissioning.
You will work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors to develop practical, compliant, and cost‑effective mechanical designs that meet project requirements, Australian Standards, and industry best practice.
What you’ll do
* Develop HVAC designs, heat load calculations, system layouts and documentation
* Review tender packages, specifications and drawings
* Ensure compliance with NCC and Australian Standards
* Work closely with project managers and site teams to drive buildable, efficient solutions
* Support projects through design, installation and handover
What you Bring
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 2-3 years’ experience in the Australian HVAC Industry.
* Broad knowledge of HVAC systems and applicable Australian Standards and Building Codes.
* Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, CAMEL, Bluebeam
* Clear communication and collaborative approach
