Boandik is currently seeking a dedicated Rostering Officer to join our Community Care team. This position, based in our Mount Gambier Office is available as permanent part-time or a full-time basis dependent on applicants.

Boandik Community Care is a leading provider of services for older people in the Limestone Coast region. Our personalised services support people to maintain their independence in their own home, and in their communities.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing schedules for our community-based support workers, ensuring shifts are adequately staffed and resourced efficiently. Your efforts will contribute to the seamless delivery of care and support to our participants. We are seeking someone with strong customer service skills, proficient computer skills, and who works effectively in a team.

Key responsibilities

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

* Developing and maintaining rosters that suit the requirements of our community and in­ home support programs
* Liaising with Care Partner staff and support workers and ensuring rosters are in line with Award requirements
* Manage ad hoc changes to support worker availability, including leave and changes to work patterns
* Effective problem-solving
* Maintaining data integrity and accurate record keeping
* Be an active participant in driving change when the chance/need arises.

Key position requirements:

* Demonstrated experience in an administrative or similar role
* Experience and/or understanding of rostering and scheduling
* Ability to use database systems for rostering, reporting and administration purposes
* Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate effectively, establish trust and manage expectations
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Current NDIS Worker Check
