About You
You have demonstrated experience working as a counsellor and are comfortable in delivering short-term interventions to students. You are passionate about promoting a culture of inclusion and wellbeing, and you successfully build relationships with diverse cohorts, including students, peers, and academic staff. You regularly monitor, evaluate and review service quality and effectiveness to ensure your clients are well serviced.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager: Counselling, you will provide brief intervention counselling services to individual students, including face-to-face, telephone, online and crisis counselling. You will also support larger groups by conducting workshops with diverse groups to promote student mental health and wellbeing. Playing a key role in supporting student learning outcomes, you will contribute to resource and policy development and collaborate across the University to address student wellbeing needs.

To be successful you will need
* Eligibility to register with the Psychology Board of Australia through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and/or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Significant demonstrated experience as a counsellor, delivering services in a range of settings to individuals or groups
* Demonstrated experience in online counselling and using appropriate technology to deliver effective services
* Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, equity and social justice
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in varied settings and with diverse groups
