Board Director Vacancy – Community-Based Pharmacy Eaglehawk United Friendly Societies Dispensary Ltd (EUFS) is seeking to fill a casual Board vacancy. The ideal candidatewill reside in the greater Bendigo area, have advanced business experience and a minimum of 3 years Board experience in the not-for-profit, government, education, health or business sectors.We are a not-for-profit community-based pharmacy overseen by a Board of Directors focused on delivering a range of products and benefits for our members and the wider community. In addition to our annual community grants, we provide donations and services to many local community groups and organisations and provide generous discounts to members. Meetings are monthly and in person. This is a remunerated position.Skills of interest are in the areas of HR, IT and communications, medicine and the provision of general health services. Pharmacy and related government/supplier liaison experience will be well regarded.ROLE REQUIREMENTSRegular attendance at Board meetings and events, including Annual General Meeting.A time commitment of six to 12 hours per month, to undertake Board meeting preparation, attend Board meetings and sub-committees, actively participate in discussions and deliberations and attend strategic workshops as needed.Apply professional/industry expertise to support the development and review of policies, programs in addition to having well‐rounded governance skills.Willingness to serve on at least one sub‐committee and participate actively in its work.High level of commitment to the organisation's work and values.Willingness to invest in developing own governance skills through training opportunities.Understand EUFS services and support them publicly.Be aware of and declare and abstain from any conflict of interest and behave ethically and respectfully.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTORS Strategic PlanningActively participate in setting, reviewing and approving the strategic direction of the organisation, including approval of values and goals.Approve key organisation policies and monitor organisation performance against policies and strategic plan.Annually review strategic plan and support implementation of strategic plan, such as communications/marketing, fundraising, risk management and workforce plans.Review and approve annual budget.Expressions of Interest can be submitted to David Hanna, Chief Executive Officer, david@eufs.com.au or contact David Hanna at 0490 142 152.#J-18808-Ljbffr
