The Role: Store Manager
As Store Manager, you will be at the helm of our vibrant retail environment. Your mission is to oversee daily operations, empower your team to excel, and ensure every customer leaves with the solutions they need and a smile on their face. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence: Greet and assist customers, identify their needs, and recommend the best products and pool care solutions. Resolve queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Sales & Merchandising: Maximise sales opportunities through effective merchandising, upselling, and cross-selling.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, receive deliveries, and conduct regular stocktakes. Ensure accurate pricing, labelling, and product displays.
Store Presentation: Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting shop floor. Ensure all health and safety standards are upheld, and equipment is in top condition.
Administrative Duties: Manage daily cash flow and receive invoices. Oversee compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Pool Care Expertise: Advise on water chemistry, pool equipment, and maintenance schedules. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies. - Training will be provided!
Community Engagement: Build relationships with local suppliers and clients.
Problem Solving: Address operational challenges, customer complaints, and staff issues with initiative, diplomacy, and a solutions-focused attitude.
About You
We are seeking a motivated, approachable, and detail-oriented individual who embodies our values and strives for excellence. The ideal candidate will possess:
Retail Experience: Previous management or supervisory experience in a retail environment is essential. Experience in the pool, leisure, or home improvement industry is highly desirable but not essential.
Customer Focus: A natural ability to connect with people, understand their needs, and exceed their expectations.
Organisational Savvy: Outstanding time management, multitasking, and prioritisation abilities.
Technical Confidence: Comfortable with point-of-sale systems, inventory software, and basic pool equipment (training provided).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, approachable and professional demeanour.
Problem-Solving: Resourceful and proactive in addressing challenges, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Physical Fitness: Able to lift and move stock and work on your feet throughout the day.
Flexibility: Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and extended trading hours as required. (Weekends in the warmer months are essential)
Qualifications: Pool technician certification or experience is a plus.
