The Mobile Service and Sales Technicians (MSST) act like Mechanical Fitters, responsible for assembling, supplying, and installing material transfer hoses and tubes, as well as supplying associated fittings and accessories for industrial applications. The Mobile Service and Sales Technicians are responsible for providing our customers with a 24-hour a day on-site mobile service as required. In addition, this role is tasked with ensuring our customers are provided with efficient customer service by utilising your in-depth knowledge of Pirtek products and services and generating sales by striving to continually improve the customer experience.
We are seeking a motivated person to fill the position of Mobile Service & Supply Technician for the Fremantle Service and Supply Centre. Our service territory stretches from Cottesloe to Mandurah and is best suited to applicants who reside within this area. Applicants must be available for overtime as well as participating in a rotating 24-hour on-call roster to respond to emergency breakdowns and service requirements, reporting to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Fitting & Maintenance Duties - Acting as a Mechanical Fitter, responsible for assembling, supplying, and installing material transfer hoses and tubes per customer requests.
* Utilising the most suitable equipment, products, and methods for efficient and high-quality work that meets customer expectations.
* Maintaining and operating the Mobile Service Unit (MSU) to the highest standards, ensuring all equipment is serviced, calibrated, and in good working order, especially during fieldwork.
* Maintaining the MSU to ensure it is clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
* Completing all logs regularly to ensure they are up to date.
* Attending assigned service calls promptly, aiming to be onsite within 30 minutes or as agreed with your Manager.
* Seeking advice and support from your Manager in order to clarify any technical questions you may have.
* Utilising pMOBILE for creating and updating all work orders to maximise efficiency and accuracy.
* Operational & Client Service Duties
* Generating sales on service calls by upselling additional servicing, products, or revenue streams to customers.
* Communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders to provide comprehensive information on Pirtek services and capabilities.
* Maintaining thorough customer records, including orders, quotes, and relevant dates.
* Providing input to the Centre Manager to assist with the setting of sales objectives and targets for designated territories.

* Ensuring compliance with quality policies, procedures, practices and management directions.
* Participating in training, as directed by your supervisor and/or manager to ensure competence in completing job responsibilities.
* Notifying your supervisor or manager if you are required to perform a task which you do not believe you are competent in performing.

* Contributing to discussions or requests for feedback / consultation in relation to WHS policies and practices.
* Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at and in relation to your workplace.
* Ensuring compliance with WHS policies, procedures, practices, general responsibilities and management directions.
* Ensuring you do not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything which has been provided in the interest of health and safety.
* Reporting any injury, incident, hazard or near-miss to your supervisor and/or manager immediately.

* Notifying your supervisor and/or manager if you require training to safely perform a task or operate machinery / equipment required by your role responsibilities.
* Participating in the investigation of workplace safety incidents where you may be involved, have witnessed the incident or otherwise have relevant knowledge.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in fitting, mechanical, hydraulics or relevant area.
* Hold a current manual Driver's Licence and willing to obtain a Light or Medium rigid licence.
* Experience in operating plant machinery and using tools and measuring devices.
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
* Ability to anticipate problems and proactively find solutions.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Have a strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your work.
* Neat and tidy presentation.
* Ability to display confidence in representing Pirtek.
* A willingness to learn and undertake training as required.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
* Previous experience or knowledge of the hydraulic hose industry.
* Previous experience or knowledge of the products used within this position.
* A trade certificate, preferably a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or related qualification).
