Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is shaping the future of Australian aerospace by delivering key capabilities to the Australian Defence Force. The Opportunity: BDA is seeking an experienced Avionics/Electrical Engineer with grounding in Airworthiness (DASA, EASA or FAA Regulations) to join the Office of Airworthiness team. The role supports projects across Boeing, with a primary focus on the E-7A Wedgetail program. This role can be undertaken in Brisbane, Adelaide, Amberley or Williamtown. Responsibilities
Provide engineering leadership for technical execution of 21J avionics and electrical activities for development and sustainment; develop, review and approve design artefacts and repairs in accordance with the approved BDA Engineering Management System. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team to achieve integrated solutions. Act as a senior team member, guiding and mentoring junior engineers to grow technical expertise and engineering judgment. Advocate for improvements in avionics/electrical methods, standards and tools to enhance efficiency and technical excellence. To be successful
Expertise in some of the following: Tertiary degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical or similar Engineering. Experience in design of aircraft and components/systems; writing and reviewing technical reports and developing documentation related to avionics and electrical systems. Experience in regulated aviation environments (e.g., DASR, CASA, FAA, EASA). Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer is highly desirable.
