About the Branch


The Corporate Branch is responsible for delivering enabling services that support the agency delivering on its purpose and to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the agency.

The Branch facilitates the agency's compliance with legislation as a non-corporate Commonwealth entity. The volume of legislation which informs this work is significant including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, Public Service Act 1999, Work Health & Safety Act 2011, and Fair Work Act 2009 to name a few. In addition, there are numerous rules, instruments, policies and frameworks that build on legislation which is applicable to the agency.

The Branch delivers services across numerous disciplines being strategic communications, human resources, finance, procurement, planning, performance, parliamentary services, facilities management, security and corporate communications.


Branch Objectives

About the Section


The Communications section delivers cohesive, user focused communications that support agency priorities. We bring together external and internal communications, content creation, creative studio web and channel management, to produce impactful and accessible information. Working closely with all areas of the agency and informed by data and research we translate goals into practical strategies and high-quality outputs across our communication channels. The purpose and objectives of the section are to:

* deliver strategic clear, consistent, accessible communication that builds trust and supports the agency's objectives and priorities
* provide a centralised, integrated service across content, design/creative, website & channel management which is coordinated through a business partnering and scheduling approach to ensure seamless delivery
* align communications with standards, manage risk and emerging issues, create user-focused and user informed content and digital experiences, optimise resources and continuously improve through data-driven insights
* partner with business areas to develop integrated briefs and plans and report on outcomes for continuous improvement
* design and publish brand-consistent, accessible content and creative assets that make complex information clear and engaging
* maintain governance for websites and channels, refine user experience and information architecture, and implement improvements based on performance data and feedback.


Role Responsibilities and Duties


The APS6 Senior Production Management Officer plays a pivotal role in the Communications Team, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of communication products/assets that support the Clean Energy Regulator's strategic objectives and desired business outcomes. The role acts as a master scheduler, managing production workflows, coordinating resources, and prioritising to meet evolving agency needs. The role works closely with the Communication section EL2, EL1s, Business Partners, and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality and timely outputs across all teams.

Under limited direction, the Senior Production Management Officer will:

* Collaborate with EL2, EL1s, Business Partners, and subject matter experts to plan, schedule, and manage the full delivery cycle for communication assets (from brief to publish), ensuring sequencing, hand offs and dependencies are clear across all work streams in the Communications section.
* With the EL2, run structured prioritisation and re prioritisation of tasks and provide the EL2 with evidence and operational insight in order to negotiate trade offs (scope, quality, time) constructively.
* Forecast workload and match tasks to available capacity and under direction, allocate work to resources effectively and manage production risks to maintain quality, responsiveness, and timeliness.
* Coordinate and monitor workflow and resolve bottlenecks across creative, content, website and business partnering teams to ensure alignment, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
* Maintain and optimise production tools and systems (e.g. ASANA, DevOps, Adobe Creative Suite, digital publishing platforms) to support efficient production processes.
* In collaboration with Business Partners and Content teams develop and maintain content calendars and production workflows to ensure timely delivery of assets.
* Oversee the implementation of governance frameworks for production activities, including publishing standards and approval processes, to ensure compliance and content integrity.
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to maintain momentum and meet deadlines.
* Support process improvement by monitoring performance, feedback and strengthen team capability through guidance and collaboration.


Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

* Qualifications in communications, media production, project management, or a related field.
* Familiarity with government communication protocols, digital publishing, and regulatory environments.
