One of the many ways The Salvation Army engages the community through music is by providing its ‘Mainly Music’ program to children and young people - learning and participating in musical activities in a happy, caring, and pleasant environment. This program also unites participants through prayer, play, sharing meals, and companionship. The role of the Mainly Music Assistant is to assist the Mainly Music Team Leader/Coordinator engage with parents and other carers by providing companionship, care and support, playing with children, choosing songs, singing, and playing musical instruments.
