Our client, a rapidly expanding piling and foundations contractor with offices located in Sydney and interstate, is seeking experienced Piling Rig Operators to join their busy teams.
**Piling Rig Operator Job Description**:
We are currently seeking experienced Piling Rig Operators for upcoming and ongoing construction projects. As a Piling Rig Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a piling rig and its associated equipment on construction sites. You will be responsible for drilling and installing foundation piles for buildings and other structures.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate and maintain a piling rig and its associated equipment
- Drill and install foundation piles
- Ensure that the piling rig is operated in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain daily logs and records of work performed
- Communicate with supervisor and other crew members to ensure proper coordination of work
**Qualifications**:
- Experience operating a range of piling rigs
- Familiarity with drilling and pile driving techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance on heavy plant equipment
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be willing to work in a physically demanding environment
- Must be willing to work in a variety of weather conditions and at various heights
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- Essential: EWP, Working at Heights, Dogman, Excavator VOC, White Card
- Beneficial: Crane Ticket, First Aid
