About the role
We are seeking a suitably qualified communications technician to complement our team within the Engineering Services division at our Berrimah office. This role will see personnel carrying out fibre splicing, structured cabling installations and testing.
Key responsibilities
* Complete requisite safety documentation prior to task commencement, such as Take-5s and SWMS.
* Perform a varied range of works.
* Deliver clear information to the communications supervisor relating to works progress and materials required to complete.
About you
* Certificate III in relevant communications related discipline.
* Construction industry white card.
* Open cabling registration with fibre and structured endorsements.
* Working with Children Check (Ochre Card), or ability to obtain.
* Hold full Australian working rights – Visa sponsorship not available.
* Current valid manual driver's license.
* Local to the greater Darwin region – this is not a FIFO position.
* Working knowledge of relevant standards and technical advice.
* Ability to partake in an on-call roster.
* Ability to work remote when required.
* Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Baseline clearance (desirable).
* Working at heights and High Risk Work License (WP) (desirable).
