The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a second or third year law student to join our Team in our Raymond Terrace office. In this casual role (minimum three days per week, working Thursday, Friday & third day of your choice ) supporting the team, you will engage in diverse legal functions and administrative tasks. It is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic and bustling work environment. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a property team, develop your legal skills and apply what you are studying.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with clients
- Preparation of correspondence, court documents, statements, and subpoenas
- Attending court and settlements
- Legal research and court filing as required
- Extensive file and document management
- Proactively managing solicitor and client requests/inquiries
- Providing high-level support to professional staff within the team
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Completed their first year of study in their Undergraduate University Law degree (preferred)
- Availability to work Thursday & Friday
- Excellent typing skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident, professional, and empathetic phone manner
- Robust proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook skills
