About The Opportunity
Due to exceptional growth and success, the RPS Project Management team is seeking a motivated and qualified client-side Project Manager with experience in delivering projects within Defence or similar government agencies. This role may be embedded within Defence, acting on behalf of the client, or as a Project Management/Contract Administration (PMCA), covering areas such as Estate Planning, Capital Facilities & Infrastructure (CFI), Air Force HQ, Army HQ, and Navy Capability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Building and Construction, Infrastructure, Contract Management, Refit, Property Management, and related fields. This position is based in Townsville within a fast-paced team, and RPS is a market leader in delivering large, complex projects.
About You
* A tertiary qualification in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
* Strong understanding and proven experience with various delivery methodologies, including Head Contract, Managing Contractor, and Design and Construct.
* Previous experience working with Defence, including Defence-specific writing skills.
* Australian Citizen able to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
* 3 to 8 years of client-side PM or PMCA experience in relevant industries, with familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules preferred but not essential.
* AIPM Accreditation or equivalent is advantageous.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to lead teams, manage, and grow business relationships.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Proactive, strategic thinking abilities.
