About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant City Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-level support to the City Manager and oversee the operations of assigned city departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in implementing city council goals and objectives
* Coordinate activities with other departments and external agencies
* Serve as Acting City Manager in the City Manager's absence
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in public administration, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is desirable but not essential.
A minimum of five years of increasingly responsible management and administrative experience, preferably in a governmental organization, is required.
Broad knowledge and experience related to city government operations and applicable county, state, or federal laws is necessary.
