Installation Crew Member (Entry Level)
13AXENT is a leading Australian electronic engineering company specialising in electronic speed signs, fire danger signs, and digital displays across transport and public infrastructure. With operations in Melbourne and Queensland, we deliver projects across metro, regional, and remote areas.
Due to continued growth and major contract wins, we are seeking a motivated and hands on individual to join our installation crew based in Yatala, QLD. This is an entry level position. No prior experience in vacuum excavation or sign installation is required. Full training will be provided.
About the Role
This is a hands on field role where you will be trained across all aspects of our installation operations, including vacuum excavation, crane mounted truck operations, and general civil works in support of roadside electronic signage projects across Queensland and Northern NSW.

What You Will Learn
• Vacuum excavation truck operations (non destructive digging around underground services)
• Crane mounted truck operations for sign installation
• Full sign installation process from footing excavation through to commissioning
• Civil works including backfilling and site reinstatement
• Daily pre start checks and basic truck maintenance
• Working alongside experienced installers, supervisors, and service locators
• Reading and following SWMS, traffic management plans, and site safety requirements
• Working with electronic signage systems including solar powered signs and digital displays
What You Need
• MR (Medium Rigid) licence (minimum requirement)
• White Card
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Physically fit, reliable, and safety focused
• Comfortable travelling to metro, regional, and remote job sites
• Happy to do regular away works across QLD and Northern NSW (with allowance)
• Full Australian work rights
Highly Regarded (Not Essential)
• HR licence or willingness to upgrade
• Any crane, rigging, or dogman tickets
• Experience in civil, construction, or trades environment
• Traffic control (TC) ticket
• First aid certificate

Work Details
• Full time, Monday to Friday with some weekend work
• Regular away works across QLD and Northern NSW (allowance provided)
