Non-Emergency Patient Transport Nurse Role

About the Position
This role involves caring for patients accessing non-emergency patient transport services, ensuring their clinical stability during transfers from aircraft to facilities. The successful candidate will operate in a road transport environment, employed on a casual basis.
* Ensure patients remain clinically stable during transfers
* Identify clinical deterioration and escalate concerns in a timely manner
* Provide ongoing communication with patients and medical escorts
When not involved in patient care, the nurse will be engaged in administrative duties as determined by the Senior Nurse.
To succeed in this position, applicants must possess:
* Relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualifications
* Minimum 3 years acute post-graduate nursing experience or demonstrated skill level
* 2 years ICU/ED experience
* Other relevant acute care or emergency skills
