About The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Connect team as a Nurse Consultant (Senior Nurse), where you will be responsible for:
* Provides clinical leadership and mental health expertise through therapeutic triage and collaborative treatment planning for CAMHS clients.
* Shares day-to-day clinical leadership of CAMHS Connect with other senior staff.
* Ensures best practice standards for CAMHS intake and consults on complex cases.
* Works collaboratively with government, non-government, private providers, consumers, and carers.
* Accountable for delivering high-quality care aligned with Department of Health and WCHN standards.
* Accountable for team outcomes, addressing practice-policy gaps, and fostering positive team culture to enhance client outcomes.
* Accountable for own mental health and nursing practice, clinical outcomes, professional advice, care delegations, and ensuring policy compliance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.
* Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
* Demonstrated competence in delivering proficient and comprehensive mental health nursing assessment and direct clinical services to children, young people and their families experiencing complex, acute or chronic mental illness/ trauma or a wide range of emotional and behavioural disturbance.
* Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management.

About Us

The Women's & Children's Health Network is the state's leading provider of best practice health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We offer:
* specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community-based tertiary mental health service provided through the WCHN across South Australia, providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs. CAMHS provides services to: infants / children / young people up to 18 (16 in some areas) for community, statewide and hospital-based services for perinatal women.

CAMHS Connect is the triage service for CAMHS in SA and provides a consistent phone entry point for consumers and standardise referral management across CAMHS. Connect staff will undertake phone triage and make recommendations for ongoing mental health support where appropriate. Including to CAMHS teams and other mental health services.
