About the Role: Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this is a true HR generalist role and will require a highly experienced and hands-on HR professional who is passionate about making a meaningful impact.
Working alongside another HR Advisor, this role will be responsible for partnering with sections of the business to ensure sound HR processes and practices across your dedicated portfolio, with a strong emphasis on performance management. You will play a critical part in supporting our people, strengthening our culture, and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional care to our residents.
This role will join a collaborative and high-performing HR team of 10, based in the Busselton facility.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Provide assistance and advice to managers on HR/IR-related matters, including: performance management, misconduct, grievances, and conflict resolution
* Provide assistance and guidance on the interpretation and implementation of HR related policies and procedures
* In consultation with the CPO, conduct performance management investigations and grievance handling
* Support disciplinary processes in line with Fair Work and sector awards (e.g., Nurses Award, Aged Care Award)
* Support incident management and workers' compensation claims
* Promote safe work practices and injury prevention
* Oversee the HR administrative function
* Manage absenteeism and return-to-work processes
* Assist with policy and procedure development and implementation
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management (or equivalent)
* Minimum of 3 years' experience at an HR Advisor level
* Strong experience with performance management
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current HR/IR legislative requirements
* Experience in interpreting and advising on Modern Awards
* Experience in Aged Care or Health Care industry (preference)
* Experience in Injury Management (preference)
* Ability to manage high-volume casework
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships at all levels of an organisation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
